Known for reinventing a space with a blended aesthetic, Bellingham Bay Interior Designs provides designs that are personal to the homeowner. Established in 2001. I remember when I first started out. I had business cards with edges you rip off yourself. I laugh thinking back. I started by doing friends' homes for free on my days off and taking photos of my work. I went to real estate offices and showed my portfolio around. One realtor was interested. I would stage his homes for $400 and get paid after they sold. Considering I wanted to get my feet wet, I jumped at it! I kept my day job at an interior design firm and staged his homes when I got off work and my days off. After doing his homes for two years. My word of mouth business started to spread, and my design business started to grow. Yes, by the way, I did start to charge him more! I moved to Bellingham WA in 2004. Getting my company up and going took more time than I had expected, but eventually, it took hold. Word of mouth spread and I feel very lucky to have worked with wonderful clients in Bellingham and surrounding Northwest areas. I cannot wait to see what my future holds!
