Juliana Carlsen Interiors (JCI) provides design services for the residential market. We specialize in kitchens, bathrooms, home offices, entertainment centers as well as all styles of custom furnishings & window treatments. We believe it is critical that the bones of the house be organized & well planned. JCI can provide CAD (computer aided design) architectural services to help re-envision your home to meet today's needs. Our design studio houses a custom upholstery workshop. We design and fabricate all styles of upholstery, slip covers & upholstered walls. Window treatments including draperies, fabric shades, solar shades, shutters as well as bedding & pillows are all custom designed & beautifully fabricated with attention to detail. JCI confidently traverses the diverse design landscape be it contemporary style, bohemian chic, rustic sophistication, Victorian or arts & crafts. Our commitment is to the highest quality you can afford, staying within your budget & time line. Established in 1990. Juliana Carlsen opened JCI while she was attending the Interior Architecture and Design school at University of California at Berkeley. Her first project was an extensive remodel of a classic guest house in Lafayette. Since that first project she has gone on to design a wide variety of styles of homes in Northern California Sun Valley, ID; Bozeman, MT, Seattle, WA, Scottsdale, AZ and New York. A world traveler she is inspired by the diverse cultures of our planet and her love of nature as well as the interesting lives of her diverse cliental. Her background in art and fashion also inform her beautiful designs. Juliana has a fantastic group of artists and craftsman to help her implement her designs. Her contacts with contractors has been thoroughly vetted providing her clients with positive, hassle free projects done by licensed, insured, and conscientiousness companies. She is known for being efficient, organized and reliable.
