We are a family-owned furniture store and design firm, featuring a showroom in Leawood, KS. Our showroom receives new items each week with an eclectic mix of traditional, transitional and contemporary design. We have 6 Interior Designers on staff who work with clients on both residential and commercial design projects. Established in 1920. Madden-McFarland is one of Kansas City’s most recognized interior design firms. The firm was founded in 1920 by Gene E. McFarland, who set up his home studio on Paseo Boulevard in Kansas City, Missouri. Years later, in 1969, Bernie Madden joined Gene and ultimately purchased the company in 1975, with a vision of expanding his staff to include professional interior designers and a larger showroom space. We continue to operate today as a family-owned business with an award-winning commercial and residential interior design studio and retail furniture showroom. We carry numerous lines of furniture and upholstery, lamps and lighting, rugs and floor covering, as well as a tasteful collection of art, textiles and wallcoverings.
