"I first became a weekend re-modeler while I was an owner of a small rental property. As my remodeling experience grew and grew, so did my projects. I began to contact several contractors for assistance. I was shocked at my discoveries! Most contractors didn't even return my calls. I couldn't believe it. Those that did offered seemingly arbitrary pricing, rattling off some 'cost-per-square-foot' figure. I wondered, how could they know the cost when they hadn't even seen my space? Frustrated and disillusioned, I decided that I could do better. I then began taking those first-steps, which ultimately led to the creation of Mahogany Builders.
