Established in 1958. Martha Rose started her Marty Rae journey in Feb 1958 at 1144 Broughton Street with the Marty Rae Dress Shop. Her Marty Rae interior design business began in 1970. She has always displayed her sofas for sale as well as bedroom sets and dining room sets in room settings to inspire home decor ideas for her customers. She opened Marty Rae' of Lexington 20+ years later as the Lexington community was first beginning to grow. It was several years after this furniture store expansion that she decided to close Marty Rae Dress Shop and expand the Marty Rae's in Orangeburg to its current 9000 sq ft furniture showcase. This space enables the store to display sofas for sale, recliners for sale, bedroom sets, dining room sets, and other all wood furniture to complete any room decor.
