MSA was originally founded by Marion Spiers, a well-known residential architect from Houston. He made George Klein and Leslie Anderson partners and formed MSA of San Antonio, Inc., proving mostly residential design services. Marion eventually retired and Brent Anderson, an architect that had worked in some of the large commercial architecture firms in San Antonio, bought Marion's share, diversifying the company to provide full commercial architecture services. Since MSA had become a well-known and respected name, we decided to keep it in honor of Marion Spiers.
