The PWArchitects team is talented, professional, friendly, knowledgeable, generous, creative, conscientious, responsive, and fun. Established in 1978. In 1978, founding Principals Nick Peckham and Brad Wright formed PWA to offer sustainable architecture to their clients. In the same year PWA received its first design competition award from the U.S. Department of Energy for the design of a Passive Solar Home in Columbia, Missouri. The following year, the firm received a Passive Solar Commercial Building Award from the U.S. Department of Energy for the design of an addition to Community United Methodist Church in Columbia, Missouri. In subsequent years the firm continued to receive awards for its sustainable planning and design services. These early successes have led to the completion of hundreds of private and public projects many of which have incorporated sustainable design techniques and materials. Consequently, the firm has grown in size and capability.
