About the Contractor
1601 Interiors is a full-service interior design and home staging studio based in Denver, Colorado. 1601 Interiors is composed of an ever-evolving group of individuals dedicated to curating intentional, beautiful, and expressive spaces. At sixteen oh one, we strive to embody a way of being in which the ordinary becomes extraordinary, vision becomes reality, and opposites finally find their match. Proud members of the LGBTQIA+ community, 1601 Interiors is passionately committed to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion. Residents of Denver’s East Colfax Cultural District, we are avid supporters of our community and remain steadfastly devoted to providing equal access to beauty for all, which we believe is a fundamental human right. Sustainability and the ecological footprint of our work remain paramount in our design considerations. From intentionally up-cycling vintage items to purposefully selecting low-waste, eco-conscious goods, the future of our planet is top-of-mind. We began our journey into the design world as Schross Haus in 2021, and along the way, we have honed in on our mission to not just craft beautiful spaces, but to give back to the community around us in tangible ways. Our approach is uniquely eclectic, embodying a vast array of skills, sensibilities, and disciplines. We believe that every project deserves a hand-tailored approach and flatly reject a “one-size-fits-all” mentality. Established in 2020. Adam Schroeder and Matt Ross relocated to Denver, Colorado from NYC in December of 2020 in the darkest days of the pandemic to create something beautiful: 1601 Interiors. Since then, we have aimed to create a highly personalized, fun, and exciting home staging and interior design experience for the Denver Metro area!
