The Texas Urban Sawmill is a one-of-a-kind sawmill that specializes in the salvaging and re-purposing of trees across central Texas. We are one of the very few businesses in the U.S. that is actively focused on all aspects of our materials from the "tree to your home". This helps us to ensure unsurpassed quality standards from rough lumber to finished furniture. We own and operate the largest thin kerf sawmill in the southern US and also build some very fine live edge furniture through our sister company, Refined Elements LLC. We are the only business in Texas that offers full turn-key services from tree salvaging and removal to custom milling and finished forestry products that can be used in new building construction. We can guarantee the sustainability and environmental mindfulness of our products. We believe strongly in urban forest re-use and are active advocates of bringing more awareness to this amazing environmentally focused movement across all of Texas. And of co Established in 2017. The vision for this business started in 2013 with the formation of Refined Elements LLC. Refined Elements specializes in live edge furniture from salvaged trees. We wanted to vertically integrate a sawmill to pursue our passion and mission for the advocacy of tree salvaging, re-use and re-purposing. In 2017, we were able to organically fund a sawmill and we formed the Texas Urban Sawmill. It is a business focused on the community and people 1st. It is formed with the intend of being a benefit corporation. We make it a mission to support non-profits and organizations helping those in need. All our employees shared in the ownership of the company which is important. Our slogan is "Saving Trees, Improving Lives". We've been labeled as the neighborhood sawmill of central Texas. We are proud to be the only business and sawmill focused on providing complete turn-key services from your urban or rural forests to your home or business.
